keeping it cruelty-free in the bedroom πŸ˜‰

Yup, we’re going there. Sexual wellness is just as important as any other facet of health, and companies are hurrying to create cruelty-free and vegan options for the eco-minded. No matter what you’re doing or who you’re doing it with, there are dozens of options on the market that keep you happy and animals safe.

First things first β€” and probably the first thing that comes to mind. Cruelty-free and vegan condoms can be kind of a niche product, and I’ve only ever personally seen them at Whole Foods and Wegmans stores. If you don’t mind ordering some online and having them shipped to your house (hoping nobody that you live with opens the box along the way), the Internet is rife with options.

Sustain condoms are probably the most well-known and come in three fits: Tailored, Ultra Thin, and Comfort. The best part about these condoms is that they come in packs of 10, 40, and 144 (!), making the hassle of running out to the store almost nonexistent. Best of all, they’re cruelty-freeΒ andΒ vegan, and are nitrosomine-free β€” a known carcinogen found in most condoms.

L. Condoms are also fairly popular and available at most natural food stores. These only come in packs of 3, 6, and 12, but offer a bit more variety than Sustain condoms. Available in Ultra-Thin, Classic, Ribbed, and Large, these condoms also come available in a sample pack so you can test out a variety before committing.

Perhaps the most versatile selection of condoms comes from Glyde. They’re cruelty-free, vegan, and fair-trade, and come in an overwhelming large variety: Standard, Large/XL, Snugger, Vanilla, Blueberry, Strawberry… How can you go wrong? Glyde also offers a size sampler of its own so you can make sure your guy has the perfect fit every time. And for the ladies? Glyde even has a selection of dental dams!

People β€” especially women β€” seem to think that buying lube is taboo, but often it can be mandatory. Vegan lube is super easy to come by and available in tons of fun formulas and flavors. Try brands like Sliquid, Good Clean Love, Sustain, Sir Richard’s, and Blossom Organics.

My boyfriend laughed at me the first time I whipped out a bag of wipes after sex, and now he’s basically addicted. Cleansing wipes (or even baby wipes) are an awesome way to quickly clean up and refresh after sex, especially if you don’t have time to shower. Tons of brands make cruelty-free wipes and you can find them almost anywhere. Some of my personal favorites include Sustain’s PostPlay Wipes, SweetSpot Labs’ Vanilla Blossom On-the-Go Wipes, and Everyone Baby Wipes.

Cruelty-free and vegan toys? You bet they’re out there! For kinkier folks, the brand Sportsheets has an extensive line of bondage toys and accessories that are all cruelty-free and vegan. The Vegan Sex Shop is also an awesome place to look, and 6% of their profits go to charity.

It definitely does suck that many cruelty-free and vegan sexual health products are only available online, but that shouldn’t stop you from ordering and testing things out. Did you see anything you’re adding to your cart? Let me know below. πŸ‘‡πŸΌ
