A few days late, I know — I’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty health issues — but better late than never! I didn’t try too many new products this month, but I’ve still managed to compile a little list. 🌟
P.F. Candle Co. Amber & Moss Candle: $18 at pfcandleco.com, (cf+v) 🌱
I’ve been a long-time fan of P.F. Candle Co., and their amber and moss candle is one that I always come back to. This scent is particularly clean and non-offensive — notes include moss, lavender, sage, orange, amber, and musk. Plus, these candle jars are adorable to reuse — simply freeze what’s left, break it up with a knife, scoop it out, and rinse clean. I like to use mine as pencil holders!
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream: $38 at itcosmetics.com, (cf)
I originally tried this CC cream years ago and didn’t particularly care for it, but after hearing everyone sing its praises, I decided to try it again. It has a whopping SPF of 50, is decently hydrating, and looks very natural on the skin. In my experience, the key to using this product is using a beauty sponge and not a brush — I recommend the EcoTools Perfecting Blender Duo.
Acure Acne Spot Treatment: $12.99 at acureorganics.com, (cf+v) 🌱
I’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty breakouts recently and decided to finally replace my Neutrogena spot treatment. This gel by Acure contains 2% salicylic acid and is one of the more affordable cruelty-free acne treatments on the market. I’ve used this product on several recent breakouts, and it’s cleared them up in no time at all.
NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter: $7 at nyxcosmetics.com, (cf)
I’m sure you’ve heard of this product — people have been going wild ever since it came out! I grabbed mine in the shade Crystal Glare, a “white champagne pearl.” This yellow-based highlight suits my warm skin tone perfectly, but have no fear: there are shades for everyone! I’m especially interested in trying the lavender shade. These highlights are absolutely beautiful and I’d recommend them to anyone who wants a little glow.
